Olivier Latry was appointed as one of the three titular organists of the Cathedral of Notre Dame in Paris at age 23. He succeeded his teacher, Gaston Litaize, at the Academy of Music at St-Maur-de-Fossés, and more recently, he has succeeded Michel Chapuis to the post of organ professor at the Paris Conservatory. He has toured extensively as recitalist throughout Europe, Russia, North and South America, Japan and Australia, and has been invited to appear at the National Convention of the American Guild of Organists. Latry's numerous recordings on the BNL (Harmonia Mundi) and Sony labels of Vierne, Widor, Litaize, and Duruflé have met with wide critical acclaim.
